CIBUS 2018 & LIFECITRUS project

The results of the LIFECITRUS project were presented to the food industry at the international level in CIBUS 2018.

Presentación García, who was accompanied by all the partners of the project, showed the most interesting results for the agri-food sector in an International Exhibition that gathers thousands of visitors a day each year. The context of circular economy brought together different European projects in the session organized by Federalimentare Servizi on May 8 and the dietary fiber content of the new ingredient was one of the characteristics of greatest interest to attendees.

In addition, this International Fair, meeting point of food innovation, served us to learn more about the Bergamot, a citrus that is produced in the coastal region of the province of Reggio Calabria, in Italy, but also in Spain to a lesser extent, and that presents interesting properties for its industrialization.

On the other hand, technicians of the project also approached at the beginning of May at IFA Institución Ferial Alicantina to attend the first edition of Alicante Gastronómica where more than 130 exhibitors from the province of Alicante met to promote healthy actions and a diet based on local products. LIFECITRUS could know more about national companies in the citrus sector.
