On April 6, project technicians approached the ASAJA headquarters in Murcia to present the LIFECITRUS initiative.

ASAJA Murcia is an association whose vocation is to serve farmers, ranchers and agricultural companies in the Region of Murcia. One of its aims is to contribute to the economic and professional development of the agricultural sector in the Region of Murcia, which are in line with the objectives of the LIFECITRUS project. Due to this, the AGROFOOD Cluster technicians and the National Technological Center of the Canning and Food have wanted to maintain contact with ASAJA Murcia to make known the option of valorization to a greater number of agrarian companies.

The meeting highlighted the benefits that the LIFECITRUS project can have to open new markets for citrus farmers and their impact on citrus sale prices, but also the added value that the new ingredient can have from the processing of citrus fruits. Citrus crops with ecological certification.

The established contact will favor future collaborations between the partners of the LIFECITRUS and ASAJA Murcia project.
